About Playmove

Playmove is a Canadian EdTech company dedicated to creating inclusive educational solutions for children with disabilities. Our ecosystem combines hardware, educational software, and data analytics tailored for schools, clinics, educational institutions and homeschooling.

We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

About the Role

This role exists to bridge inclusive education, neurodiversity, and digital learning.

As an Educational & Neurodiversity Specialist, you will help schools, educators, and families understand how play-based, technology-enabled learning can meaningfully support children with ASD, ADHD, and diverse learning profiles.

This is a hands-on, education-centered role, designed for professionals who want to scale their impact beyond individual classrooms or one-on-one settings, without moving into sales or clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

The Educational & Neurodiversity Specialist supports curriculum alignment, inclusive education practices, institutional adoption, and the creation of educational authority-based content.

This role:

  • is non-clinical

  • does not carry sales targets

  • does not include marketing ownership

  • is clearly scoped and protected

You will act as an educational authority, working alongside commercial, product, and marketing teams, without replacing them.

Core Responsibilities

1. Curriculum & Educational Alignment

  • Review and interpret Canadian provincial curricula and inclusive education frameworks

  • Map Playmove games and activities to curriculum goals and IEP-aligned objectives

  • Support educators in understanding learning outcomes and classroom integration

  • Contribute to pedagogical guides and educator-facing materials

2. Neurodiversity & Inclusive Education Support

  • Support implementation for learners with ASD, ADHD, and diverse learning needs

  • Advise on classroom adaptations, differentiated instruction, and inclusive strategies

  • Ensure ethical, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate use of Playmove tools

3. Institutional & Experience Center Support

  • Participate in meetings with schools and institutions as an educational authority, alongside the commercial team

  • Support demonstrations and onboarding sessions at the Playmove Experience Center

  • Help translate educator and family feedback into practical insights

4. Educational Content & Thought Leadership

  • Create educational and professional content related to:

    • inclusive education

    • neurodiversity

    • curriculum alignment

    • play-based and evidence-informed learning

  • Contribute content to Playmove’s social media channels (for example LinkedIn and short-form video), focused on:

    • educator insights

    • institutional reflections

    • Experience Center learnings

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure pedagogical accuracy and clarity

Content creation in this role is educational and authority-based, not promotional, sales-driven, or performance-marketing oriented.

Explicitly Out of Scope

To ensure clarity and role protection, this position does not include:

  • Sales quotas, pricing discussions, or commercial negotiations

  • Clinical supervision, therapy delivery, or diagnostic responsibility

  • Ownership of marketing strategy, campaigns, or analytics

  • Social media management or performance metrics

  • Product roadmap ownership or people management

This role contributes expertise and insight, not operational ownership outside education.

Wo you are

  • Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field

  • 4–7 years of relevant professional experience working in educational, institutional, or inclusive learning environments supporting neurodivergent learners (such as ASD, ADHD, or related learning needs)

  • Experience may come from school boards, private schools, educational institutions, or comparable inclusive education settings

  • Demonstrated experience with curriculum, IEPs, or differentiated instruction

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable creating professional educational content for public and institutional audiences

  • Nice to Have

    • Experience engaging with educators, school administrators, or institutional stakeholders

    • Experience with educational technology

    • Exposure to behavioral frameworks such as ABA (not required)

  • Seniority & Scope Clarity

This role is designed for an experienced individual contributor.

While the position carries educational authority, it does not include people management, clinical supervision, or executive decision-making responsibilities.
